Adaptive works with any accounting system. Even if your general ledger doesn't connect to Adaptive directly, you can import your data into Adaptive and export it back out on your schedule.
How it works
Import through chat: Upload or drag and drop a file into Adaptive's chat. Any format works, so there's no fixed template to match.
Export as a file: When it's time to update your books, export your transactions from Adaptive and import the file into your accounting system.
You stay in control: Nothing moves automatically. You decide when data enters and leaves Adaptive.
During onboarding, your customer success manager helps dial in the right format for your data. We recommend using the same format each time to keep imports consistent.

1. I'm not sure where to export, or what I need to export.
Ask your customer success manager. They can show you exactly where to export in Adaptive and share resources for what your accounting system needs.
2. What format should my import file be?
Any format works. Adaptive reads what you upload. During onboarding your customer success manager helps set the right format for your data, and we recommend using that same format each time.
3. Why import and export files instead of a live sync?
You get full control over the timing. You decide exactly when data enters and leaves Adaptive, and you can review it before it hits your books. And because nothing syncs in the background, there are no sync errors to chase down.
4. I use QuickBooks or Sage Intacct. Do I need this?
No. Those connect to Adaptive directly and sync for you. This is for accounting systems without a direct integration.
