December 2025 - Receipt Approvals, Enhanced Duplicate Detection, Easier Change Tracking, & More

This month’s updates are all about reducing friction, catching errors early, and giving you clarity without extra clicks.

Updated today

✅ Receipt Approval Workflows (Beta Release)

This was one of the most requested features, and it’s officially rolling out.

You can now create approval workflows for receipts, just like you already do for bills.

What’s new:

  • New Waiting for Approval tab (replaces “Waiting for Review”)

  • Approvals for receipts work exactly like bills — familiar and fast

  • Fallback workflows now cover both bills and receipts

  • Bulk approve from the new tab with filters and checkboxes

  • Add individual approvers on the fly for one-off receipts

Why it matters: More control, cleaner books, fewer sync mistakes — especially at year-end.

🧼 Enhanced Duplicate Detection

We made it way easier to catch (and clean up) duplicate bills and receipts.

Now you can:

  • View duplicates directly in the bill/expense list

  • Compare them side-by-side in a new sidebar

  • Filter to show only duplicates

  • Archive or delete in-line

Your books just got a lot cleaner.

🧾 Manage Sync Errors in One Place

No more hunting across the platform. If something didn’t sync, it’s now easy to find and fix.

  • New Sync Errors DashboardGo there now

  • Batch re-sync or ignore multiple records

  • View ignored errors separately for clean oversight

Real-time clarity = fewer surprises at month-end.

🔍 Vendor Transactions Tab

Everything you’ve ever paid (or still owe) a vendor — all in one place.

  • New View History button on bills, receipts, and POs

  • Full transaction list by vendor with filters and totals

  • Instantly spot overbilling, missing receipts, and open balances

  • ✅ Quickly answer: “Did we pay Bill XYZ?” — and if so, when

No more digging through emails or tabs. Just clean visibility, exactly when you need it.

🧠 Field-Friendly Changes Tracking

Change tracking is now easier to access, review, and share.

  • Changes live in their own tab on the job page

  • Each change opens in a drawer view with a shareable link

  • Foundation laid for future enhancements to make tracking scope shifts even smoother

📄 Purchase Orders: Now One-Click Duplicates

Rolling out a new job based on a similar one? Just duplicate your POs.

  • Duplicate from list view or detail page

  • Reassign all POs to a new job in a few clicks

  • Use reference schemes for consistent naming

Perfect for templated scopes, repeat clients, or just saving time.

🧠 AI Rules Got an Upgrade

Building automations in Adaptive? Now you’ll know before they break.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Rule validation: We check if your rule will work (and tell you why if it won’t)

  • Conflict detection: Spot and resolve conflicting rules before they stack

  • Suggested rewrites: Cleaner, clearer rules in plain language

  • Full control: You can bypass validations when needed

Automation just got smarter and safer.

💡 Bonus Fixes & Features You Might’ve Missed

  • Pull lump sum budgets from Buildertrend + Procore without cost code mapping

  • Grouped time activities in PDF draw exports for cleaner summaries

  • Uncommitted Budget calculation now subtracts POs + approved costs

  • Mobile v9.5.626: Faster receipt capture + comment shortcuts
